The problem was an enterFrame listener that will simply refuse to let me remove it. In short, when I remove , at the end of the level, either the object that that enterFrame listener is monitoring or the listener itself, I get a nil reference problem. If I do not run the code in debugger, then the code will run but the listener will cause anomalies. I will probably post an example of the issue in the physics forum one of these days.
