It’s like inception
I’m working on this game and I’m not exactly sure what the best practice would be for setting up the game play I am looking to do.
The basic concept of the game is a side simple side scrolling game. When the character dies, a quick mini game would happen. If you beat the mini game, you get to continue. The concept seems simple, and I have both scenes working individually, the problem I am having is tying them together.
I’m not sure the best way to pause the main scene and load the minigame scene over the paused scene, then continue the main scene if successful. I don’t want to have to restart the main scene over.
I wasn’t using any 3rd party stuff, but I’ve read that lime would be good to work with if it ever comes back or levelhelper, but I can find any documentation on any of the gamedevhelper products anywhere.
