Alpha transition with bitmap mask

Hi guys am I right in thinking that alpha transitions dont work with objects that are masked? How can I get around this and ideas?

Basically I have a display group called “containerGroup” and I apply the mask to that - containerGroup:setMask( mask ). It all works swimmingly but when I try to transition the alpha of one of the objects inside the containerGroup it doesnt work :frowning:

Any advice appreciated as always  [import]uid: 148866 topic_id: 36005 reply_id: 336005[/import]

Hmm also tried to get around it by calling a function that gradually reduced it but that doesnt work either. Am I screwed?! [import]uid: 148866 topic_id: 36005 reply_id: 143103[/import]

Sorry to spam my own thread but it actually seems you can only have an alpha of 1 or 0 if you are using a mask. [import]uid: 148866 topic_id: 36005 reply_id: 143106[/import]

I have posted this as a bug almost a year ago and good news: I got an email last week saying that this was resolved as of the new build, so update your builds gentlemen and ladies.
