Never mind! I can access the previous builds now. Thanks!
Tried a Huawei-U8665 (Aka Huawei Fusion 2 on Att) on Android 2.3.6 and my app runs just fine. I remember Corona apps used to run just fine on my O2X a much more powerful Tegra 2 device than the Huawei so I’m wondering what the issue is…
And here is one more log from another run of the same build of my app on the O2X.
Hi,
I started a thread a little time ago withe the same issue here that began in 2013.2100:
It’s maybe best to keep it all in one thread so that Corona can see more than one person is having the issue. Also, the device that is failing for me is a Tegra also. Try building the widget demo sample app and even though the screen is black, try pressing the screen. The print statements work in logcat showing we can communicate with the app, ie no errors.
Yes, please add this to Ice Spark’s post. Engineering needs to see if it’s particular hardware combo that is failing. Please make sure to list the device and Android version running on it.
Thanks
Rob
Ah, didn’t see that thread. Posted my stuff there. Thanks.
Since I migrated to graphic 2.0, I keep getting complains from my users like “your App doesn’t work, I see just black screen” or “graphics disappearing”. I started to get low rating because of that. Is there any chance for us to go back to graphics 1.0? I tried to compile with old Corona, but Play Store generated an error messages, old Corona versions don’t seem to conform to latest Play Store update.
Build 1212 should still be available for you to use.
Rob
Hi,
I am having a similar problem on Android 2.3 (Motorola Atrix). An app developed by a friend on Graphics 1.0 worked just fine, but when I tried to recompile it on the latest update, it just gave a black screen, even though it worked fine on the Corona simulator. When will this issue likely be resolved? The only solution I can think of is to subscribe to Pro and download a previous version, but I am not sure that I want to do that.
@Rob, @matthew.j.leming: Public build v. 1202 is a quick fix. Thanks!
Note: It’s availabel also for Starter.
@petrsvar: How did you access public build v. 1202 as a starter? It looks like you have to be a Pro member in order to get to the public release archives.
I’ve reported the problem accessing the public build archive to the team. This does not seem to be a class of user permission. In other words, it’s not a Starter vs. Pro situation since I’ve been able to grab them using a starter account. I’m not sure what causes some people to get it and others not. Hopefully we will hear something soon but keep in mind, it is the holidays.
@matthew.j.leming: I log in and then I go to https://developer.coronalabs.com/downloads/archive
I am starter.
@Rob: I’ve been Pro before, so this might make difference, I don’t know… By logic this archive should be accessible for eveyone.
@petrsvar and @Rob Miracle: I don’t have access to any of the previous builds. It did say that you only get access to Daily Builds as a pro, so I’m not sure if this also includes previous versions of the SDK.
There is a page dedicated to previous public builds. That page should be open to everyone.
@matthew: Starter users have access to public releases, Pro users has also access to daily builds (it’s an extra).
You should be able to see this and download build 1202 from there, as it is a public build. If you canot do that, something is wrong and you should cry loud and fight for right
This page, https://developer.coronalabs.com/downloads/archive, leads to an access denied page when I click on any build. I tried to make a different account and access that, but that didn’t work either.
I’ve already reported this to the team.
Rob
Can you try and access the page now?
Rob
