Can't make InMobi ads work on my honeycomb tablet

Cool. Thank you, XenonBL.

The thing is, InMobi ads crashes my game when ad-refresh is triggered while some of my timer(s) or transition(s) are still in progress. For example, if an ad-refresh happens while a display object is changing its size – bam, it completely freezes my game. I pretty much have to leave the game and relaunch the game.

So for the time being, I commented out all ads related code, and my game screen layout has a placeholder space for the banner ads to appear later on.

Hopefully, this crash bug will be fixed soon.

You might consider the alternative to inmobi I created here http://moonbeamdevelopment.com/?name=corona-lua-ad-network-leadbolt

Richard, please don’t bump old threads in order to trawl for referrals  [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 13271 reply_id: 61628[/import]

Ouch! …

Did I mention the code was free to all Ansca users?

Sorry Richard, but free or not the whole sign up under another person thing is always a little bit shady. I’m not trying to be harsh, it’s just that affiliate links (or the like) are something I tend to keep an eye on. [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 13271 reply_id: 61733[/import]

Shady? I must say - I take offense to that. I’m a long standing Corona developer and weighed in on a couple decisions early on with the core Corona team towards the Android side of things.

I am not a shady person. I’m a high volume developer with alot of experience, passing along a valid referring link to a new ad network Corona users can take advantage of, nothing more.

I wrote the wrapper to use it and just though, well if people need to sign up on the network might as well be that I referred them.

Geesh, no wonder I stay out of most forums. [import]uid: 9046 topic_id: 13271 reply_id: 61739[/import]

I’m sorry that you feel offended by that, genuinely - however the fact remains that, in my opinion and let’s be honest, most others, affiliate links can be quite shady. I’m sure you know most forums have strict policies against them.

So, I’m sorry if you took my saying affiliate links were often a little bit shady as me calling you shady, as that is not what I was doing.

It’s great you want to share your code with people who sign up under your affiliate link - just understand that these links are always looked at more than, for example, someone sharing a link to a tutorial or the like.

My intention was to explain the reason behind why most forums have fairly strong policies on this and why I would look at it with some scrutiny, rather than leaving you without a reason.

It seems inmobi ads are not working anymore in my app Mr. Moody. It’s been published to the market (currently ver 1.3) and THAT version is showing ads. But I just downloaded the daily build of Corona and put the updated app on my new 4S running ios5 and I can’t get ads to display no matter what I do.
Is there any updated documentation on the inmobi integration?

Daily builds are never guaranteed to work well, or at all - when you have an issue with one it is best to revert to the last stable release. [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 13271 reply_id: 61961[/import]

same problem tried for hours to get it to work went to “Corona SDK on Mac OS X Build 2011.591” and it work right away [import]uid: 89663 topic_id: 13271 reply_id: 71110[/import]
