Hello ,
I downloaded new Corona. When I run the simulator, this error occurred:
Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall?
Yes.
It was also a problem with CoronaSDK 2017.3086 (Now with Corona 2017.3103).
I even reinstalled Windows, but failed.
Please help, thank you.
@forghaniir, can you start a new thread with this issue? I don’t want to hijack this thread and a fresh thread on this specific problem will help our engineers to avoid wading through a long, unrelated conversation.
Thanks
Rob
It’s not always about helping Corona with their brand awareness, I have clients who want their own splash screens or they are corporate clients who don’t want to see "Made with … " (Corona, Unity etc.)
This is why we have the optional and very fairly priced Splash Screen Control plugin.
Rob
Hello and thank you ,
The problem was solved!
I searched and found the solution. The process is as follows:
Go to the location of the corona.
Right-click on the Corona Simulator.exe file and select Properties.
Go to the Security tab.
Change permissions for all Administrators , Users and System to Allow Full control.
Click the OK button.
And restart the computer.

Edited: Error reappeared.
This news was very pleasing. I am an Android developer on Windows. When I met Corona a few months ago, I found it very great. But because native features were not free in it, I migrated to Libgdx. Now, I’ll be happier if you tell me when do you implement Windows-Android native setup?
I’m a bit late to the party.
Are there any changes/migration steps necessary when moving from Enterprise to Native?
How are plugins added to the Native projects? Are there still plugin bundles available to download?
Thanks,
-Matthew
The new version supports both old Enterprise style projects and new Native style projects. After installing Corona go to /Applications/Corona-vnum/Native.
You will find two programs to run there, one setups up the environment for Enterprise, the other for Native and I believe you can run both. New projects using the “App” template will be “native” based.
For iOS, you can run a build dialog in Xcode to download and install the plugins. See: https://coronalabs.com/blog/2017/07/06/using-plugins-in-corona-native-projects-ios/
We don’t have similar functionality for Android yet. There are multiple complexities. For now the best we can offer is a command line tool that will download them and then you have to hand copy them to your project and in some cases manually integrate them with Gradle. Hopefully we will have a documented path to doing this at some point in the near future.

Any updates on the Android Native building? Is it possible to get the command line tool somewhere? I’d like to include updates to some plugins for our next patch. Wondering if this will be possible soon and if we should maybe hold back until we get the update.
Also, will it be possible to use specific versions of corona plugins with Native? Stay on older versions if needed for example.
Thanks,
-Matthew
HI Matthew, can you email support and ask them for the information on downloading Android plugins for native builds.
Thanks
Rob
I am a bit confused on the “totally free” part. I try to use the display.newSnapshot() function and get a warning that it requires a Pro (or higher) subscription. But I am not able to find any links to get the Pro (or higher) subscription…
What am I to do ?
Please go to the preferences menu in the simulator and do a “Deauthorize and Quit”
And then login again. If that doesn’t fix it, please email support@coronalabs.com to get further assistance.
Rob
I don’t think the name “corona” is great idea. Corona in the USA is beer company. So if you googled “Corona” corona labs site is the 13th result. If you google unity, unity 3D website is the first result.
That’s great news! I guess the new Corona product will give us the speed when we need those specific ad-networks, native platform libraries etc. Pretty excited about that.
Also, the new website seems to load a bit faster. Seems more can be done to speed it up but better than the old one.
By the way, can we add native code(I guess C++) to the win32 and macOS builds?
@bgmadclown The website has more tuning to do and we will work on over time. And yes, there is no reason you can’t build native features into win32 and macOS builds. On the Windows side, we still technically don’t support “Enterprise” there because we don’t have it where you can build Android apps on Windows. But producing plugins (i.e. .dll files) that you can drop into your win32 build is very much doable now.
@scottrules44. Very good point, I’ll bring that up and see what we can do about the SEO.
Rob
I guess .dll files should work fine for now. Can we expect official documentation about that soon other than the one you described in the forums? (https://forums.coronalabs.com/topic/57623-support-for-nativenewtextfield/?p=298499)
Wow, great news!!!
Will CoronaCards still be supported?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Cheers Corona!
BRAVO!!!
We are preparing to release an app platform that has a corona-based cross-platform Administrator side and an Android-native client side. We went that route because corona sdk didnt give us the lower level support we needed. We were concerned about the costs of 2 parallel track products. You’ve made that go away today. Thank you.
Is there going to be a windows version of Enterprise?
