Any updates on when 1.5 would be released ? Looking forward to it I dont plan on switching from Director to Storyboard so I am really looking forward on new stuff with 1.5!
+1 to Page Flip!
Thanks Ricardo [import]uid: 30314 topic_id: 15701 reply_id: 75440[/import]
Awesome class. Some formal documentation would be nice though. Searching through the source is tedious. [import]uid: 61289 topic_id: 15701 reply_id: 75954[/import]
Could you add the ability to change scenes from within a PopUp?

Just to say to Ricardo : we still need director ;))
Keep it simple for sure …
It’s already difficult for me to deal with clean … so storyboard and its destroy/remove/purge/exit concepts are too much for me.
My wish would a quite simple director, no need to add extra feature, just a solid and simple scene management.

Documentation or a link where we can find it for each function that would be great [import]uid: 101897 topic_id: 15701 reply_id: 83385[/import]
Hi,
I am wondering… What would be the advantage to use Director instead of the built in Storyboard? In my mind seems better to use officially supported modules?
I think its a lot of hard work to make Director, and many people use it. I’m just trying to understand the advantage and disadvantage of each…

I’d like it if Director 1.5 fixed a bug in the “swipe to go to the next page” feature that’s a part of books.
How to repeat:
Create a book with director with multiple pages.
Try swiping between them
Notice that sometimes when you swipe left or right and then lift your finger, the book does not entirely go to the next page, getting stuck “kind of in the middle”. The user can see parts of both the page they meant to leave and the page they are meant to see. [import]uid: 36054 topic_id: 15701 reply_id: 84686[/import]
Hi Ricardo,
Re: an interim Director without module() solution
I _really_ don’t like Storyboard. I’m not a programmer; I have _loved_ using Director. Removing module() seems to be high on Corona’s wish list when urging us to switch.
@justimag.in.board’s Dir-without-mod solution works perfectly in my tests (thank you, @j).
For those of us who prefer to continue using Director, can you recommend this as the preferred interim solution until 1.5 development is complete?

I’m sure that you’re busy. Thanks for any feedback you can give.
Best,

@lbolducMaybe
I’m still not sure how I feel about Storyboard. Director was so…easy. It took me a day to figure it out. I’m a new programmer, never coded anything before June 2011 of any sorts. I messed with Corona for a few months before learning Director. I got director down and can do what I want with it. Then storyboard came along and I spent a couple days with it, but for whatever reason, I just can’t get into it. Even after reading the blog post about how to transition from director to storyboard from Jon Beebe.
Maybe I’m just nutty, but I’m with you

So director class is still getting updates? Cool!
I for one, have no intention of messing around with the new Storyboard API as of now . As nicholasclayg said,
“Director was so…easy”
Any plans on upgrading, Ricardo? [import]uid: 64174 topic_id: 15701 reply_id: 103228[/import]
