Download older 704 SDK for MAC 10.6.8

Unfortunately it still quit on me. :frowning: [import]uid: 174658 topic_id: 30423 reply_id: 122441[/import]

I wonder if there might be an issue with the firewall here at work when I log in to open the Simulator? [import]uid: 174658 topic_id: 30423 reply_id: 122474[/import]

@berpicasa23 - did you try installing with build 704? [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 30423 reply_id: 123044[/import]

peach,
Yes, I try with build 704, but it show me a message that say: “Incorrect Architecture” [import]uid: 142138 topic_id: 30423 reply_id: 123055[/import]

Hey again-

Have you tried the simulator from home? I have very little experience of firewalls with Macs but I will ask colleagues and see if this could be related, certainly. [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 30423 reply_id: 122551[/import]

Hey-

Yes, I did try it at home and it worked on my mac 10.6.8 OS! However, my main purpose is to use Corona for future work projects and if I can get around the firewall somehow that would be great. For the time being I’d like to test it out here and work up some prototypes. Do you think I could get around the internet connection somehow while I learn how to use it?

Also, is it true that I can use the same login for both my work and home computer?

It could be the firewall depending on how aggressive your firewall is. But I have never heard of a user that had such aggressive settings that nothing worked. But are you behind a proxy server? The Mac Corona doesn’t handle that very well. (The Windows version is better in this regard but you won’t be able to do native iOS development with it.)

You are entitled to use your login on two different machines, so yes work and home will work.

Yep, you guessed it - we are behind a proxy server here. There is a place in my network settings that allows me to bypass proxy settings for hosts and domains. Do you think if I just add the url that the simulator is trying to connect with to my network settings it might work?

Good to hear about using Corona on two machines! [import]uid: 174658 topic_id: 30423 reply_id: 122689[/import]

Sorry, I honestly don’t know the answer to that. Please give it a try and let us know how it works.
Are you using the built-in Proxies interface in System Preferences->Network for all your proxy stuff?

[import]uid: 7563 topic_id: 30423 reply_id: 122727[/import]

I will, thanks. I’ll check in with IT to see if it’s a go. We are indeed using the Proxies interface in System Preferences>Network, so I thought inputting the Corona website address as one of the locations to override it might work. I’ll give it a try and let you know how it goes. Here’s hoping!

Thanks for all your help on this. [import]uid: 174658 topic_id: 30423 reply_id: 122832[/import]

Hi there, I want to install my game in a Iphone 3G with IOS 4.1. How can I download a version of Corona that work with IOS 4.1?

Hi again,

I thought I’d take another try at this in the office. I talked to my IT person and he said if I can get the URL and port to open that the Simulator needs to connect to I can use it to override the proxy server with my MAC network settings. Is that something you can give me? [import]uid: 174658 topic_id: 30423 reply_id: 124409[/import]
