I guess this explains why ego.lua library by Peach Pellen is not saving on android devices. I have the newest buid and noticed that it wasn’t saving the highest score on all of my android devices. I am going to reverte to the stable build and see what happens.

On a related note, a few days ago, I noticed that the lates build wasn’t letting me run apk files on Nook Color, so I reported as a bug, and luckily they had already received that particular bug and told made sure to kill it on the 819 build. But this, apparently, created another problem which is the one I mentioned above… [import]uid: 75258 topic_id: 20846 reply_id: 107972[/import]

* A WILD CARLOS SUDDENLY APPEARS! *

:slight_smile:
I’m still noob, but I’m using the later daily builds (mid 700’s). I figure as long as I test enough, then should be cool like ice.

@pdichone,

Yes, I reported the Nook Color issue last week. It was fixed in build 819. However, that doesn’t mean that 819 is “stable”, just that the Nook Color crash is fixed.

I’m not familiar with Peach’s ego.lua module. What is it for? If you are saying that writing data out (like for high scores, settings, etc) is now broken on Android, then that is a major issue that needs addressing and yet another reason not to use the latest Daily Build.

@nicholasclayg,

Depending on the build you are using, you may or not not have the support for the iPad3. Be careful making assumptions about Daily Builds. Many people have been bitten by assuming that things are working, then publish their apps only to start getting complaints from users in their reviews. I have been bitten by this twice. I should have learned the first time, but I really needed some of the features in the recent build so I published for Nook Color/Tablet and got rejected on the Nook Color. I couldn’t figure out what I could possibly doing wrong. Eventually I found out it was a bug in Corona (now fixed in Build 819).

As Ansca clearly states “Daily builds are a work in progress. Your mileage may vary.” I highly recommend you wait for the next stable build before you publish your apps. Walter recently said there should be a stable build coming soon, so hopefully it will be ready in the next few weeks.

As I said, as long as I test I am good.
I have ipod4g, iphone3gs, iphone4 and 4s, iPad 1,2,3

I think I’m covered. I actually wrote a test plan, and use it extensively. I also test on various iOS versions to ensure I am good. I play through in entirety then I have others do the same.

Weeeeee!

@Ken Thank you so much I built my above 704 and I had reviews that that saved games was deleted and I knew it was the saved files. I thought it was a glitch but reading this helps me realize it was the build thanks [import]uid: 17058 topic_id: 20846 reply_id: 122281[/import]
