[FIXED] Images are skewed for some Android users, why?

We are looking into the issue and it seems to only affect the Galaxy Tab 3 7". We isolated it down to masked images causing the problem. Containers are just a group with a mask so any image in a container will fail too.

This issue was introduced in build 2100. In this build we fixed an issue with the Galaxy Tab 2 7". It seems not all Android (or Samsung) graphic drivers are the same and we have to add exceptions depending on the graphics GPU we encounter.

Android may seem like a great platform but we encounter these type of issues all the time because there are so many different Android devices with their own set of issues (even among the same manufacturer).

We will let you know when we have a fix that works across all our test platforms.

Hey I’m having this same problem any breakthroughs in coming up with a fix. I actually have to exclude Galaxy Tab 3s from games that used to work on the tab 3 since upgrading my games to 2.0. All my games that don’t use scroll view work fine in the tab 3.

Hi @clementcomp7.  We just isolated the problem before the weekend.  We likely won’t have a fix for it for a few more days and then it will roll out in a Daily build.  It won’t be fixed for Starter accounts until we put out a new public build and we don’t have an ETA at the moment.

Thanks for the speedy reply good to hear that the problem has been isolated.

I fixed the problem. Please try tomorrow’s daily build and let us know if you have any further issues. Thanks!

Do you mean build 2169 or after this one?

I don’t have the specific device (e.g. Galaxy Tab 3 7") that could generate this bug to test with. I will build & publish my app with the new daily build that has your fix in.

It will be in 2170 or later.
