Yes, I still had those problems, even when switching away from newRetinaText as mentioned above, and even when looking at it on the device. I’m hoping that Corona can “sync” the text display on the simulator as well as on the device, and fix all text display across all devices (universal on small, large, Retina displays, as well as Android). There’s also another problem on iOS with longer text objects, which turn white or get cut off. I’m pausing my current game until the text issues are stabilizied a bit more, I suppose after “iPadgate” you guys need some time (and sleep). The display.newText issue seems to be stable at this point. If you are having problems please file a bug report with a short sample PROJECT demonstrating the problem.
We have some bug reports with code snippets of problems, but that doesn’t help us because some bugs are dependent on what’s in the config.lua and build.settings file and it takes too much time to try and reproduce the problem. We appreciate it if you can supply a complete set of project files to speed up our verification of the problem.
