Looks good though, nice idea to use smilies. Might be worth uploading to the stores for the hell of it? Market it as a kids match game or something.
Thanks and nah, because then I have to support it and I don’t have that kind of time lol
Lol 12 hours! That’s a pretty polished looking effort for 12 hrs
8 hrs was graphics and about 4 hrs of programming (so far at least)
and far from polished more like prototype stage lol
I’m very fond of your art skills. I can’t even draw a stick man, lol
Thanks, I use to be that way to then one day I ended up having to do all the front end, back end etc. and then had no choice but to learn Photoshop and 3d Modelling programs and for the first year or so of doing every aspect of a app/game I was cussing under my breath (well sometimes out loud) screaming BS every now and then
In the end it worked out well because now when I am making a UI or something I know exactly how it is going to work on the programming side so makes the graphics a lot easier to pull off and the entire time I am doing the art I am programming it in my head.
How much support would it need?
It doesn’t seem like it would be that much.
Rob
oh you know up-keep, new levels etc. and so forth
I’d almost consider it a fire and forget app. Get some income from it early, perhaps some residual down the road.
Rob
Yeah that is true
My new encrypted email client, linked with document and project management, thoughts?
Looks better on the phone lol, still got a few layout issues with my new widgets but all in all I think it is turning out ok
Dude, you work fast
Looking very nice :]
I have had the engine built for awhile now, just getting around to giving the UI some love
Use to look like this.
Do you handle imap and pop? Interested in hearing the plans
Pop/Smtp don’t use iMap
Beautiful work.
Why not out of curiosity? A lot of people do! In case you’re planning on app storing this :]
That is a good question and while I can do iMap let me explain why I don’t
iMap stores all your email on the server and while its true you can use something like SSL to encrypt your communication it does not stop your email provider or server from being hacked.
So the only reason I use pop/smtp is just to fetch mail from my encrypted server, the actual client connects to the encrypted server for its information which is done using a rotating encryption.
This isn’t your basic email client it is a project/document base secure messaging client so imagine you have a project lets say one of your plugins that you are collaborating with. All files, email, communications etc. are all linked to that project/plugin and encrypted and secure. Later when you need to look something up you just goto the project and you can see all email, files, events so on and so forth.
Not sure if I am explaining that clearly though lol
Makes a lot more sense when you use it
Aha! Makes sense. It also sounds like an extremely good idea and a very useful tool.
Keep us updated, i for one am interested.
