-- HELP -- Who do the developers feel is the Best Ads network to use?

If you need some exposure for your App, please consider us as well.

We don’t compete with the ad networks you mentioned, as we are focusing on cross promotion rather than revenue at the moment. Our view is that most Indie app developers could better use their ad space to promote their app through cross promotion. Many Indie app developers end up disappointed in ad revenue, at least initially. Once you have a user base there are many ways to monetize, but we are all chasing that elusive initial user base. And yes, we are Corona developers too.

We are just completing a Beta test and inviting a few more apps to participate. It’s 100% free and some of our users are alternating paid ads from the ad networks with AppRever ads, while others are going 100% AppRever trying to build their user base.

And feel free to email if you have any questions!

I’ll certainly look at apprever for my next app. but for my current app JamExam ( JamExamApp.com ) I am partnered with a music teacher who wants to enable ads.

I think it’s a smart move as we have Several Thousands of downloads across IOS Google and Amazon for our free version…

Thanks for all the feedback from everyone.

@Naomi Yes I’m using the latest Revmob SDK. I emailed them but haven’t had a reply. :-/ [import]uid: 204816 topic_id: 36452 reply_id: 144863[/import]

@chrisevans1001, ouch. Thanks for letting me know. I hope they’ll get back to you right away. I’ll implement mine, and I’ll email them too.

Naomi

Edit: BTW, I hear great thing about Vungle (video ads) , and we should all vote for it here:

I also hear good things about Chartboost and Heyzap:

I also need to decide which ad networks to use (especially since it doesn’t look like I can dynamically switch ad providers.) I’m only interested in full screen interstitial ads, and I’m thinking of going with iAd for iPad and RevMob for iPhone/iPod (and RevMob for Android versions.)

@chrisevans1001, about RevMob issue you brought up, I assume you are using the latest RevMob SDK for Corona – but are you? If you are, it worries me. I’m grabbing RevMob SDK for Corona from http://sdk.revmob.com/corona – did you grab yours from there too?

Naomi

Edit: A quick update regarding switching ad providers dynamically. On post #63 here, Alex let us know that we can switch between ad providers. Cheers! [import]uid: 67217 topic_id: 36452 reply_id: 144862[/import]

A quick update on actual numbers from my husband’s app. His app has over half million downloads and is getting the following:

Vungle = 8x of RebMob’s eCPM

HeyZap = 2x of RebMob’s eCPM

So, honestly, we should really vote for Vungle and HeyZap added to Corona. I also know ChartBoost does well too.

@Naomi thanks for the details.

I think I’ll start out with RevMob and then watch when the others are added. When they are then I may give them a try as well.

@Larry, cool. It does sound like RevMob is the way to go at the moment. InMobi doesn’t seem to have fullscreen interstitial ads. I’m now debating if I should even bother with inneractive. See this thread:

http://developer.coronalabs.com/forum/2012/12/11/admob-vs-inneractive-vs-revmob

Remember to vote for Vungle, HeyZap and ChartBoost.

One more thing, I just noticed there’s RevMob sub-forum. And here’s a thread about an issue with RevMob:

Ugh, we do want to be able to switch between ad networks – and we need to be able to choose from good ad networks…
