I just looked and while Instagram does offer a REST api, which we could use, it required oAuth 2.0 to login. The oAuth module we provide works with oAuth 1.x.
I just checked:
http://feedback.coronalabs.com
and there are no requests for Instagram or oAuth 2.0. My advice is to add feature requests for both Instagram and oAuth 2.0. Personally, the oAuth 2.0 seems like a more practical project since there are other services that would benefit from having it than any dedicated Instagram APIs. Of course, once we get plugin’s going then it opens up all kinds of possibilities.
In the mean time, go to the feedback site above and add the requests and get people to vote on it.
