Intermittently unable to install a Corona build via TestFlight

Hello guys,

I never used this tool from David (because I did not know about it) what I do is simply put the app file into a folder called Payload then I zip that folder (Payload.zip) then manually I change the extension to .ipa The Mac asks me if I want to that, I say yes and drop the final folder named Payload.ipa and voila! I have been doing this for a year now and never had any issues.

Hope this help.

I know this is a slightly old thread but I stil have this issue. I believe its just a Test Flight traffic issue. I’ve used all the different techiques here for creating the IPA but all I have to do is hit “retry” on the error one or more times and it has always eventually worked. So it can’t be anything to do with the corona file/build.

Tried everything I read here, but no luck, getting this error.

Could this be the cause: I have copied the build file generated by Corona to PC (actually it isn’t a file it is a folder called LummyQuiz.app).

Copied this folder (and all of its content) to Payload folder, then ziped it and renamed to ipa.

Should all this be done on a mac maybe?

I’ve also been having this problem the last few weeks. Most of the time, when I upload a build to test flight, it can be installed OK. Maybe 10 to 20% of the builds I get an error that the app can’t be installed.

What I’ve been doing lately is reboot my mac, rebuild the app, repackage the app as an ipa, and upload to test flight again. This seems to be working, but I’m not sure why. I’m using the same provisioning profile and using the same method to package the ipa every time.

I managed to make it work.

I did all the process on the mac (zip, upload), seems that helped (before I was using PC).

Hope this helps someone.

I’ve always just uploaded the payload.zip file and never had any problems.
