That’s an interesting idea. Kind of like a project-based Kickstarter - if X people pay for it, a feature gets added sooner. Hmmm…

@Joshua
It’s on the right not left. I’ll send you a screen shot as soon as I can, but it is because of scroll bars, I went through this in finding a solution for maps on Android, the line appears on some devices and not on others. It happens on your own map sample that comes with the sdk. [import]uid: 8697 topic_id: 24293 reply_id: 123438[/import]
@Joshua Quick, you said in some previous topic that to get the path of sdcard you should thirst implement it in lua.
I found that it requires one line of code in java.
Context.getExternalFilesDir
Do you think this will be avaible soon ?
We have 2 projects almost done that are based on this feature. [import]uid: 138389 topic_id: 24293 reply_id: 123455[/import]
I haven’t seen that white bar on the left on any of my Android devices, and I did test maps on a Galaxy SII. We also disabled the scrollbars on the map view, so I’m thinking it must be something else. Perhaps the default background is showing through.
Would you mind posting a screenshot so that I can get a better idea of what’s going wrong? Thanks! [import]uid: 32256 topic_id: 24293 reply_id: 123061[/import]
With the new map functionality, is there any way to be notified when a marker is clicked on? This is a key feature for most of the people that need mapview.
thanks

Unfortunately no, but I’ll write that up as a feature request. [import]uid: 32256 topic_id: 24293 reply_id: 123432[/import]
Would you be able to validate if we would pay for this feature, if we could have it more quickly?
thanks [import]uid: 28795 topic_id: 24293 reply_id: 123434[/import]
Nick, Jay,
Feel free to send us suggestions (or propositions) by contacting us via the below link. That will get you into contact with a higher power here. If there is enough demand for a feature then we’ll definitely do it. So far, the most highly demanded map feature is custom markers. We know we need to add more to our maps API to make maps more usable. We just need to finalize what will be done next. So the sooner you can submit your feature requests and rally up support, the better.

vovasoft,
I just answered your question on another forum thread. I’d like to keep this thread focused on maps please. [import]uid: 32256 topic_id: 24293 reply_id: 123881[/import]

cublah,
I’ve managed to reproduce that map view scroll bar issue on a Kindle Fire HD 7" and Samsung Galaxy SIII. So, I’ll write this up as a bug.
What’s curious is that this issue does not happen on any of the other Android devices that I’ve tested on so far such as the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7, 1st gen Kindle Fire, Nook Tablet, HTC EVO 4G, and the original Droid. cublah, can you tell me what device you’ve seen this issue on please? Thanks! [import]uid: 32256 topic_id: 24293 reply_id: 125313[/import]

Thanks for posting this information. I’m sure it will help us track this issue down.
I’ve noticed that this issue is not happening on my Galaxy SII, which is running Android 2.3. Can you tell me which Android OS version yours is running please? This might help us narrow it down. [import]uid: 32256 topic_id: 24293 reply_id: 125324[/import]
not sure the exact version but I think its 4.04 [import]uid: 8697 topic_id: 24293 reply_id: 125327[/import]
