Missing a required architecture error in Build CoronaSDK 2012.722

Apologies, I see you did mention that above.

I believe you may need to use Xcode 4.2 as you mentioned in your previous post; though I’m not certain. I’m going to go and write to another member of the team just to get confirmation before I tell you to download something that large  Hang tight. Thanks Peach. I did download it before but didn’t install it. If I need to, will I be able to install it on top of 4.3.3 ? [import]uid: 143974 topic_id: 20079 reply_id: 112485[/import]

While we try to make Corona work all the different Xcode versions, Apple makes very little effort to support old Xcode’s. They expect you to upgrade to the latest Xcode when it is released and upgrade your iOS versions on your device when it is released. Reading this thread, I’m already very confused by all the versions being thrown around. For new-user situations, doing anything but the latest Xcode and iOS should be avoided. And do not set the MinimumOSVersion at all. That is an advanced setting and in most cases should not be used.

Please read our Xcode 4.3 documentation here.

Hi Ewing

Thanks for the feedback. I read through the article and have installed as mentioned. I need to be able to build at least to 4.2.1, that’s the latest os on that version of the iPhone and I tried updating to later, but the software update said it is up to date. For current version I have no issues. I need the app to be compatible from 4.2.1 upwards. (wish user could upgrade to iPhone 4) [import]uid: 143974 topic_id: 20079 reply_id: 112588[/import]

Corona 704B (special daily build) is the last version to support iOS 4.2. You will not be able to use any newer Corona build than that. Note that Apple’s Xcode support may hinder your testing. You will probably have to download additional components and depending on how well Apple tested Xcode for this case, Xcode may or may not be able to install to your device. We have seen Apple break this in the past. Apple does not expect/want developers testing with “obsolete” OS’s and devices, where “obsolete” is defined as devices Apple no longer sells and wishes to provide OS updates for (which includes security updates).
