@Rob,
I updated the Physics page with your text for Kinematic objects. Thanks. [import]uid: 7559 topic_id: 30197 reply_id: 121183[/import]

Apologies for bumping an old’ish thread, but has there been any movement on this area?
I’m struggling with an issue in that I want to enable physics for collisions, but I’m relying on an enterFrame listener to animate the objects. If I have every object as dynamic and switch gravity to 0 I’m not getting the collision function to fire, yet if I switch gravity to 9.8 then the function fires.
I’ve tried to switch gravity to a an insignificant value (0.1), but this still isn’t firing.
This would eb a lot easier if kinematic body types would collide with one another. [import]uid: 33275 topic_id: 30197 reply_id: 140754[/import]
Do you have a code sample to post? Maybe try a new thread as you have your own separate question… [import]uid: 8271 topic_id: 30197 reply_id: 140756[/import]
