Rule 6.4 - Mac apps being too similar to their iOS versions

That’s good news! Let us know when they’re live in the App Store - I might like to give them a try again on the “big screen.”

Will do! They were Waiting for Review for over a week, not sure if they’ll be that long again though.

We’re also going to be releasing on itch.io, justadventure.com, and adventuregamers.com. Sadly we’re not able to release on GOG but are considering Steam, not sure how that will go though.

That’s awesome news! Congrats!

Thanks!

Hi Graham, thanks for posting this thread - definitely helps in preparation of a few of my games for OS X.  Looking forward to seeing your games in the OS X App Store

So are we! We’re still waiting for the games to back into review, I’ll make sure to keep this thread updated with anything that happens.

Very happy to say that all 5 games went into review last night and as of this morning are all approved and pending developer release

We just need to sort out installers for the Windows versions then we will be good to go.

“Your app appears to be a mostly unmodified port of an iOS app.”

Unbelievable rule!

Isn’t the point of porting exactly that?  The port SHOULD look as similar as possible on all platforms.

LOL Sometimes I think the Apple stuff is on some drugs…

Things like this often happen where a reviewer sticks a little too closely to the letter. A quick appeal generally sorts it out, as it did in this case. Can’t really blame the reviewers, just imagine how many app submissions they have to deal with on an hourly basis.
