I’d bet the reason things like text fields, etc. are not a part of the Simulator is because Corona was originally designed for games. The Simulator needs to be updated to reflect the way many developers are trying to use Corona, eg. non gaming apps, otherwise these developers are going to continue to be frustrated. C’mon Corona, do you want to be a gaming IDE only? If so, that’s fine. Just commit to that.
