"there is a problem parsing the package" - Build 1127

thanks patso.  that fixed my issue.

I solved the problem, by giving the name of project with letters not numbers.

FYI - Sometimes it happens when a hidden Icon file (“Icon?”) pops up in the files directory - the package build is fine but installation fails with parse error.

Please open terminal and go to the files directory and have a look - and delete this file. Thereafter build it again and move to device and install.

Hope this helps.

Almost a year later and it’s still an issue. Put an app together and when building called it “1”, i was just trying out somethings and figured 1, 2, 3, … would make it easy to follow the progress. When I downloaded to any android it said there was a parsing error and wouldn’t load & run. Renamed it on the build to “a” and it worked just fine. Did I miss something that said you shouldn’t use numbers as the name?

And using a current build - March 2015.

Thanks for this post, save a bunch of time. But this shouldn’t be.
