I’m concerned by this as well.
There are also a number of older, very useful posts missing. I’m hoping it’s all part of the migration process.

Hi Naomi,
I’m afraid that those old bookmarks won’t work anymore. Sorry about that - but there was no way to make all of those keep working.
Now, most (if not all) of those posts should still exist in these new forums as we made an effort to export/import as many of the posts as possible. So if there are a few you really would rather not “lose”, I would recommend searching for the title in the forum search. You *should* be able to find them easily here in the new forums.
Again, sorry for the trouble. I wish we could have made it seamless, but sadly that is impossible with forums that have been around for years.
David
Oops - that was me posting. I was logged in as another user to test things still.
David
Also - if you send me a list of URLs of posts that you think were very useful and cannot find here, can you send me the URLs? We may be able to grab those manually…

Idea: some of the topics in the above thread are missing from the latest blog post (coincidentally having to do with optimization), perhaps the missing optimizations could be appended to said post?
@David, I hope you wouldn’t mind if I send you URLs of the useful posts as I come across basis. (Meaning, if/when I come across a broken link that I really wish isn’t broken, I’d let you know then, rather than go through bazillions of bookmarked pages and make decisions as to how important they are to me right now.) And if I send you some of the URLs much too late, I understand even if you couldn’t import them anymore…
Naomi
In that case, can I add this one to the list:
http://developer.coronalabs.com/forum/2010/10/25/collision-filters-helper-chart
I can’t find it anywhere now
In fact most of the links found in this link are probably still useful, though I haven’t tested which ones do or don’t work:

Naomi, Mort,
We recovered a bunch of threads that were accidentally discarded. And several of the old posts you had flagged are not there. Here are some of the links:
http://forums.coronalabs.com/topic/15731-handy-code-snippets/
http://forums.coronalabs.com/topic/24633-debugging-on-device-tips-and-tricks/
http://forums.coronalabs.com/topic/19215-tar-module-extract-tar-files-with-corona/
http://forums.coronalabs.com/topic/15165-tips-optimization-101/
I will pin those to the top of the forum. They are in this forum (which has all the stuff that was recovered):
http://forums.coronalabs.com/forum/600-general-questionsdiscussion/
Alan - the post you pointed to is now here:
http://forums.coronalabs.com/topic/2128-collision-filters-helper-chart/
Thank you David, I appreciate that being done so quickly.
If other devs are anything like me, they Google their problem rather than searching the forum directly, as the first results are usually a Corona forum link.
If that is the case I suspect you may get a few more people posting similar requests to resurrect dead topics. Is there anyway this topic (or a similar one) could be stickied on the main forum page, to save the forums begin cluttered with repeat requests? That way the requests will at least all be in one location.
While I’m here, I’ll also add that the new forum looks much better - the search bar actually searches in forums now!
What we will probably do is post a single new post, and pin it to the top, of useful post links. I’ll try to get to it by end of day today…
@ David,
Thanks a bunch!
David, where is this link?

Solved !
O Man!
I thought you guys would have had some URL redirect or something… Is there ABSOLUTELY NO WAY the old posts will be ported?
This is going to be pretty annoying for quite some time! :(
Most of the old posts are about. Google won’t take long to reindex. You can search just these forums on Google using:
site:forums.coronalabs.com my search term here
https://www.google.co.uk/#hl=en&safe=off&sclient=psy-ab&q=site:forums.coronalabs.com
You can see they appear to have reindexed a lot (all?) already.
Wow, this is beyond FUBAR…
Just saw this thread after posting my own .
Hundreds of organized bookmarked threads…dumpstered, but the emojis are GREAT!
Hi everyone - you may be glad to know we have turned on the old forums again, on a read-only basis. So any old links will now work again. We will leave them there for a month or two while traffic dies down.
So - any old links now work again. In the meantime, if you find yourself relying regularly on posts in the old forums, please tell me which ones those are, and we’ll make sure to migrate them to the new forums (or somehow make them more visible, like transitioning them to a tutorial/guide, etc.)
Thanks,
David
That sounds great!
Thank you, David.
