Why Developers stop helping - an open letter

@David
You are absolutely right! API Documentation and the debugger are really poor. And Launchpad is nice to have, but definitely no must.

I’m looking forward to read a statement from ansca to this issue.

just like a lot of you wait for announcements from Ansca and for responses to your questions, many also await to hear your feedback and comments. It is the feedback that demonstrates how many people actually read the articles, etc. If there is no one that comments or provides feedback, then it is easily assumed as no one is reading the same. It takes time and energy to write articles, tutorials or code, and if no one is reading it, then the whole point of writing it is lost.

So, if there are people in the shadows, come on out into the light, it will help understand the demographics and the type of issues which will help drive the topics of the article and you know that if you do not get enough sunlight, you can have Vitamin D deficiency, so come on out of the shadows…

cheers,

i read all your articles, and i visit your site every day) [import]uid: 16142 topic_id: 14233 reply_id: 57827[/import]

Stay Jay! I use property bag all the time, am a subscriber to http://gamedevnation.com (that’s been invaluable to me), and when I see you’ve replied to a question I stop and read your response. Don’t let what others do change what you do! Keep up the good work and I hope you stay around here. [import]uid: 40033 topic_id: 14233 reply_id: 57829[/import]

@JayantV
hmm, i think you’ve got me a bit wrong. However, I think a poor dokumentation has nothing to do with the frequency of comments. Just one example - the included libs. AFAICS is there no complete dokumentation on the hole site for them, with detailed information and possibility to download them. I have to fetch the file in the sample code, and search some informations in the blog?! Thats not what I expacted.

I asked for that some weeks ago, but no answer…

Anyway, I have to say, that the response of a bug report was very good. I think if there are any unexpected behavior of your code, writing a bug report is a good idea. Probaly better as asking in the forums. Thanks on that way!

And just to make it clear, I like corona a lot. But these little things can be frustrating, especially in the beginning.
