Why Is Publishing Behind Server?

Hey Guys,
I always thought it was quite pointless and irritating for GameSalad to publish our apps behind their server & not give us an Xcode project. Why doesn’t Ansca ‘publish’ by giving us an Xcode project (for the iOS apps that is, don’t know anything about Android)? This will allow us to add additional features to our projects that Ansca doesn’t currently support. This way, Ansca is never behind anything that Xcode can do! We can add in extra frameworks or SDKS, anything!

Please tell me your thoughts about this!

There is a difference between publishing and "building’. we “build” your apps on our server. we don’t publish your app. just want to make that distinction.

As to why we don’t provide xcode, native integration, etc… I have discussed that ad-nausea in our, blogs, etc.

And with the limited set of API’s (almost 600) as limited as you may think it is, Corona based apps continue to dominate the charts across all platforms. iOS, Amazon, Google and Nook. It is not the sheer number of API’s that make a framework. It is its simplicity that makes it powerful.

Thanks for your reply Carlos, it’s great to hear from a staff member.

Originally, I did mean build; my mistake.

Anyway, this is the reason I’m here

Also, building your project on Ansca servers is a good way to stop Corona from being pirated.
No Corona license, No build, No publish. [import]uid: 53445 topic_id: 15004 reply_id: 55492[/import]
