I think the time is even less than that - just had to force quit for the second time today. Note that I’m editing image files that belong to the app in Photoshop - and they are big files (e.g. spritesheet with 3 photos 640 * 960 each @ 2x).
Update has helped general performance, but it stil hits a cliff where the typing becomes really slow, my Mac’s fan goes onto full speed and I need to forcequit to recover.

Loaded it again this morning after a few (blissfully) uneventful days on 1.7 and the folding is there. I’ll check for updates and report progress at the end of the day.

After an hour I had to give up - running so slow it would barely scroll let alone do code completion.
Not running photoshop today - just coding.

Had the problem again this morning - working on a much smaller file (1900 lines).
This time the “live code scanner” seems to be stuck. Was saying 100% but was at 1560/1561. Slowed the whole thing to a crawl - had to quit - couldn’t quit - had to force quit.

Problem is persisting, but happening a lot less (i.e. work for longer before slow-down).
I tried scanning “only stubs” but had to turn it back on - the auto-complete didn’t seem to know about any of the corona commands and was randomly highlighting parts of code in green.

It has a dev build of Java 7u40 and it fixes lots of known bugs for Mac OSX. We hope it will fix the stability issues you are having. Let us know if you see any improvement.

Took the latest update and now code folding isn’t available any more… getting very frustrating. Tried turning the preference off and on, but still no folding.
Going back to 1.7.

I installed this morning. After 15 mins it completely crashed and froze (haven’t seen it do this before).
I was pasting a part of a function call that that didn’t yet have a close on a string. It was like it went crazy trying to reformat the whole code file based on being a part of that string. After about 30 seconds it came back to life. I selected the function call and tried to comment it out - the whole thing then froze.
I’m uploading the logs right now. I have a screen shot but I don’t want to post it in an open forum - you’ll need to send me some other form of contact details.

I’m unable to load that dev version. Does not get passed Lua Glider splash screen. It says “Done loading modules” and just stays there.
Is it possible this version could have affected my Netbeans install? I’m unable to open the project I was working on there for last few weeks.
Kept using it after re-loading and it ground to a half after about an hour.
Performance dropped off significantly again - going back to 1.7.
it seems that the modules were not all getting updated. We released a patch updating all the modules to make sure everything is in sync. You can get glider up and running again by deleting the dev folder. Please navigate to this folder:

and delete everything except the config folder.
Next Glider should be able to start up, after that please get the update.
