As a chip once said to another chip, “Let’s taco bout this”. $192 needed just to put ads in our games? Why not month by month, or maybe 3 months at a time? Why are you charging us poor indie game devs nearly $200 just to get in the game? If our games do well, surely we’d pay for a year basic or perhaps choose a more expensive package; but if they don’t do anything at all, we are out $192. I think that price prevents a lot of people from getting in the Corona game. In fact, I know it does, as I am one of those people. I am in the process of completing my game (finally) and think it will do ok, but don’t have the $192 to shell out for the basic package. I do however have $16, even $32 and $48 so if you want to take my money for 3 months, I am down. I plan on releasing it for free with a few ads hither and thither, but coming up with that $192 is just not possible right now. Help me help you help me and everyone else :wub:
@kingCorona, we give you plenty of opportunity to build apps for free with your starter account. You don’t’ need to be Basic to use ads (other than inMobi, a recent change). You can use iAds, AdMob, and a bunch of other ad based monitization as a Starter account. You only need Basic if you want inMobi or In App Purchases.
