3Claws And My Ideas For New Games

I like to invite everyone who likes to talk about adventure games and 2d platformer games. I have many ideas and many projects I work on but the real thrill is digging deep in lua and Corona and making all kinds of stuff. I have a coffee cup on my desk with an apple and the text “Learn to have fun” that is the best slogan I know and I try to live by it every day

Do you have any ideas for platform games where the primary goal is to create interesting music? You can contact me at brophyworld.com

Hi Mark

What comes to my mind is an old game I remember playing ages ago called Loom. You start out with a magic wand that has the scale CDEFGAb and you can cast spells to open doors (omg…I just remember the code for that…ECED) You get codes for more refined music spells as you go through levels. I think you could do something of the same if you have “musicPacks” you can pick up in your gameLevels that you can put together as strings of music and maybe somewhere in your levels you can assemble the pieces on i.e. an old gramophone so you can listen to the music.

Thanks for the suggestion. I found the Wikipedia page for Loom. I’ll have a look at it in the next couple of months.
