404 sucks [censored] badly!

I am trying to un-subscribe to all my previous threads in the forum here at corona but I am getting a 404 every time I click on the f**cking link in the email response from the forum engine. That sucks [censored].

For example a unsubscribe link in the email looks like this:

http://developer.coronalabs.com/s/del/node/nid/24285/-1/81188/43e2251779a1c30a748e39c1ec67b206

and that forwards me to an “Page not found” page? What? Have you ever tested this? No page found - this is so bad…for me it says, “we dont care - it is not important for us”…but for me - hell yeah - it is important. Fix this shitty errors it is more simple the anything…

I also tried to unsubscribe “to everything” within my settings here, but that doesn’t work either. I also tried to unsubscribe to the newsletter - but that leaves me with an empty page? An empty page, what where you thinking of here? I dont want an empty page - I want a page with options!!!

Is this good or anus - just anus I guess. No, I am wrong this is not anus, this is the “Corona Labs” way to deal with stuff that you don’t prioritize or care about…The web have been terrible since it was relaunched…

I just don’t want any more attention from you, please resolve those simple issues here right now! I hate things like this and it driving me nuts!! Simple stuff like this should work - step it up and fix all those issues!

I hate how much of the site and the forum is just totally, as you put it, “anus”.

This started after the CEO left and just got worse since peach left and now there’s way more spam and you cant f–king unsubscribe and the forum keeps giving me database errors when trying to connect too.

I just unsubscribed from a thread with no errors by doing the following:

  1. Click Account (top navigation bar)
  2. Click ‘Subscriptions’ (at the bottom navigation bar)
  3. Click Pages/Threads, untick the threads and click save.

Not sure if this is different from what you tried but hopefully it would help.

Also I just successfully unsubscribed from the newsletter by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of the most recent one. The resubscribe option works too, so it doesn’t look like the issues you mentioned are global (unless I am just a lucky one it works for).

jkrassman - I agree with you. There is no way around it. Our forums suck in terms of functionality.

Now, I did change some of the wording in your title and in your post (marked now as [censored]). Just in the interest of not offending anyone.

But the point remains - our forums suck. BUT, we are working hard on new ones and they are only weeks away. Hopefully less. They will be A LOT better.
It is true that we have not emphasized certain things on our site (e.g., forums) as much as the actual product. That is both good and bad. But I’m not making any excuses. This will be fixed soon.

One final point - if you want to unsubscribe from the weekly newsletter, just hit the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.
