A Couple Of Questions About Corona Starter

Hello!

After making some games with Corona with the help of tutorials I have decided that I am going to make my own game and sell it on the market for a few €.

I’ve already done some graphics in Inkscape and put them on the screen and so on.

Before I continue I want to make sure that it is really free to publish apps and actually SELL them.

If not I’ll probably switch to java cause I don’t have cash cause I am a student.

Also I’d like to know if there is a way to remove that “Buy Today!” message that comes up when I launch the simulator?

Thanks in advance!

As I understand it, using the new public build, it’s free to publish and sell your apps. But if you want to use daily builds, in-app purchases, or make over 100k of revenue, you’ll need to upgrade to a paid account.

So what exactly are the daily builds?

Daily Builds are “experimental” versions of the plathform that introduce some new features or bug fixes but haven’t been thoroughly tested to be released as a “stable” version. You get immediate access to the freshly developed code the Corona Team uploads in a daily basis.

As another newbie, Thanks for asking, I was actually wondering the same thing, the website isn’t up to date on that part, as it still refer to the Android version and the iOS version in some areas. This got me confused a bit.

I was trying to figure out what are the “Premium” options for the paid version, other than the daily Builds (don’t know that I’d be using it at this point), the In-App Purchase (this sounds good) and making over 100K (That I really want! ) what is the premium options? Any link to the details, I can’t find it at all… :frowning:

Also, I have an older Mac (Intel-based, but on Snow Leopard), is there a build that would work on that version, so that I can test the iPhone versions? The latest version of the Corona SDK doesn’t seem to support my MAC.

The in-app purchases and the daily builds are two good reasons to upgrade!

If you want more reasons, take a look at the Plugins which are going to be available to Pro users.

Well my goal is making over 100k anyways.

Once I’m done with my game I’ll upload it to Android Market and when I make some money I’ll probably upgrade to pro user and continue making apps/ games.

Now I have work to do.

Thanks for answering!
