Greetings!
I am 19 and a newbie in the field of mobile game development. I was assigned to make an educational mobile game few days back and it took me a while to get the ideas. I decided to make a chemistry game. This game will also be used by chemistry students in my school as their weekly quizzes or tests. In my project, it would be a simple chemistry game (similar to brain tuner 2) where equations will be given and the molecular mass will also be given and the players have to see if the molecular mass matches the equation or not. I am not sure if it’s possible to use Corona sdk to make an app like this. If yes, can you guide me towards the right path? How should I start? Etc & etc
For example:
In “Brain Tuner 2”
2 + 2 = 5 --> Wrong
1 + 4 = 3 --> Wrong
2 + 2 = 4 --> Correct
In the app i am planning to develop:
(Equatoin) = (Molecular Mass)
H2O = 23 --> Wrong/Correct
CH3 = 20 --> Wrong/Correct
Basically, users have to tap on “Wrong” or “Correct” for 10 - 15 equations per level within the given time and get the score based on their answer.
(My plan is to put the equations in the database and divide it as a set of levels. For example: set of level one would have 100 easy equations in the database and when the user plays, the game should pick 10 random equations from the set of that particular level in the database and display it on the gameplay screen for the users to play.)
I am currently stuck and have no idea where and how should I start developing this simple game.
Please guide me on whats the best way to develop this game as I am a newbie. (I read the book "Corona SDK Mobile Game Development by Michelle M. Fernandez which is more on developing games related to physics)
Thank you
Have a good day!
