A question about eBooks

So, when you publish eBooks through Corona are they truly eBooks, or are they apps that act like books? I am talking for both iOS, Nook, Kindle and so on.

They are published as apps (.app and .apk), not true ebooks (.epub, .mobi, .kf8, .pdf etc).
