A simple text file with the version info

Can we have a text file with every build that identifies the build version. That way it is easier to search/locate a particular build, otherwise it’s all the same directory name, etc

Thanks for your feedback.

In the meantime, here’s what I do, personally:

Whenever there’s a new Daily Build, I rename the folder of the one I currently have to the version (e.g. CoronaSDK.645). Then, when I download the latest Daily Build, THAT’s the one that keeps the default name when it’s dragged to the Applications folder (e.g.“CoronaSDK”).

Normally, I keep the latest release, a few of the previous daily builds, and the latest one.

If you like to keep all of them, you could always put all the folders into an ‘Ansca’ folder so it doesn’t pollute you Applications folder too bad.

Hope that helps  [import]uid: 52430 topic_id: 16886 reply_id: 63280[/import]

Thanks Jon,
that’s what I have started to do, but you cannot be organised all the time :frowning: atleast that has cause this issue to raise it’s ugly head… I have 5 folders called CoronaSDK, CoronaSKD_Old, coronaSDK_Latest and so on…

cheers,
