A small contest!

Forwarded message from a friend of mine :slight_smile:
"A challenge for developers !
To create a game where player’s brain cells would get some exercise ! Theme for the Game to create is something like this:

  • The game should have at least two levels.
  • The game is like a small quiz for anyone to play.

For example -
Level 1 can be about currencies (or anything):

  1. US = dollars
  2. Singapore = Canadian dollars
  3. Canada = Canadian dollars
    And so on

There should be “right” or “wrong” option for users to press to choose the answer for each question.

Note: Don’t forget to add the scores and time!

Level 2 can be of any topic of your own interest.

Tip: Refer to the “brain tuner 2” mobile game for the rough idea :wink:

Developers can email their source code along with all the files used to create the project (zip the folder!) to the following email anytime before 11:59 PM EST of this coming Friday (8th February, 2013):

Email --> codeandwin@gmail.com

(Please add your Full name, address and contact number in the email.)

Winners would receive some cool prize from us.

Cheers!
David.R"

I’m all for developer challenges, but the offer of submitting source code/resources for the promise of “some cool prize” sounds a little dubious to me.

Where’s more information on the contest for anybody interested, at least to make sure it’s all legit?

Is this in anyway related to your previous post:

Besides why send source code - couldn’t interested people just send a compiled binary? [import]uid: 33275 topic_id: 35533 reply_id: 141224[/import]

@b16,

SERIOUSLY???

First you ask for “help” for your project due in a month and don’t even take the time to respond to the post I took the time to make on this thread…

Newbie asks for helpl

and now you’ve got a “contest” going on to produce YOUR project complete with assets meeting requirements? LOL

I personally think you’ve got asking for “help” mixed up with “I need someone to do my work for me”.

This is a big step below SPAM as far as I’m concerned.

Good luck with your project and getting “help”.

@b16042012,
This post is borderline spam, but I’m leaving it up since it doesn’t “precisely” break our forum etiquette. Please abstain from this type of post in the future… if you want to recruit somebody to write your code/project, make it clear and post in the “Collaboration” forum.

Sincerely,
Brent Sorrentino [import]uid: 200026 topic_id: 35533 reply_id: 141272[/import]

I’m going to go ahead and move this to the collaboration forum. [import]uid: 199310 topic_id: 35533 reply_id: 141276[/import]
