Accelerometer off by 90 degrees on Xoom and Galaxy 10.1

Just tested my game on two new(er) tablets – the xoom and the new galaxy 10.1. On both of them the accelerometer is not left to right, its up and down (game is played in portrait mode). However, on all phones and iPad the game reacts to left and right (expected).

Is this a bug or just an error on my end? I did a quick search around the forums and didn’t come up with any results.

Thanks!

Have you tried latest daily build?

I don’t have device to test but that should be fixed in 2011.618+

Android: Fixed bug where accelerometer, gyroscope, and heading/compass yield wrong values on landscape tablets. casenum: 8260<.em> [import]uid: 10478 topic_id: 11753 reply_id: 60804[/import] </.em>

I am with the last stable. I’ll download the build you said!
Thanks very much!

You’re welcome!

I would suggest trying the latest daily (2011.638) as there were quite a lot of Android fixes since the 618…

Please let us know if that fixes the problem  [import]uid: 10478 topic_id: 11753 reply_id: 60815[/import]
