Accelerometer speed/sensitivity adjustment or Calibration

Is there any way to make sure the game runs at same rate when using ONLY the accelerometer and gravity (with physics) and the accelerometer event to make something moving on screen.

Lets say I want a to make a balloon game and using jsut gravity and touch events?

Is it at all possible to make it run about the same on all devices?
