Accelerometer (tilting) to roll a ball

Hi guys!

How would you roll a ball on a platform using device tilt?  Would you use velocity or X impulse relative to tilt amount and direction?  Or would you use its X gravity value?

Assuming the ball had texture, I want to see the ball roll visually, not just move in a direction.

Also when it falls from a platform, I don’t want the tilt to affect it’s fall direction.  Only when it is in contact with the ground or platform, just like in the real world physics (eg. when you drop a ball off a chopping board by tilting the board, you no longer have control as it falls.  gravity takes over)

Thanks!!

Santi

Ok, I just found out a sample in Corona,  Shape Tumbler.
