add answers to questions to online documentation

Okay, I’m adding comments to the online documentation to answer the questions that the docs should have answered in the first place.
I look for some info in the docs and when I don’t find it , I google it
and copy the answer to my question to the semi relevant place in the online docs.

I think this is easier than a wiki. We have a ready made OUTLINE of a documentation. I have to say that at least the doc writers have made a good OUTLINE of docs. Now we just need to add CONTENT.

I suggest we make the online docs the forum. Add questions and answers there and then everything is organized correctly and easy to find. [import]uid: 56054 topic_id: 10899 reply_id: 310899[/import]

Hi larrye2000,

You think that the documentation should BE the forum? Where would off topic posts go? How about new game announcements? Or questions related to Android on a page discussing both the former and iOS?

How would moderation work? If things were instantly approved as they are in the forum there’d be a risk of spam getting buried as the present layout makes it easy to find.

If there was a wait time, how would those needing immediate help cope?

What about when people are having build issues because things are over capacity? Where would they check that?

Also, what of questions unrelated to the docs? There are all kinds of questions about Corona in general, about Lua as a language, about device specifics unrelated to the actual code - how would those be handled, exactly?

I’m not being rude, I assure you - cleaner, more organized and easier to find is what I love - but I wonder if you have considered the bigger picture and if so, I’d be most interested to hear your thoughts on the above.
