You guys could act as a redirect for ads, so doing this:
[lua]ads.init( “launchpad”, “myAnscaAppID” )[/lua]
…would redirect the request for ads to the company I set up via LaunchPad. So I can set InMobi as the ad server for App A, AdMob (eventually) as the ad server for App B, etc.
Why do this rather than setting it inside the app?
Because with the LaunchPad way I can change the ad company at ANY time by logging into LaunchPad. I don’t have to change the code, do a new build, and resubmit the app to Apple.
That means if one company isn’t working out for me, I can switch to another one at will.
Combine this with the other feature request I made, being able to specify our own ad server, and then I can switch from inMobi, to my own ad server, to AdMob, etc.
If you implemented this idea you also have the ability to do something like letting us allow X% of our ads to promote other Corona SDK-made games – and the reason for us doing that is to gain “credits” that allow *our* games/apps to be advertised on the Ansca Network.
It’s the kind of thing that should be fairly easy to implement but it could add a tremendous amount of value to LaunchPad – and Corona SDK, of course.
