Add New User By Mean Of Facebook Login

Does anybody tried to add a new user by means of Facebook login successfully?

In my case facebook.login method is no longer working, it doesn’t do anything. Previously it worked. did it happen something with the last version of Corona?. Presently I am using Build: 2013.1064

@vfranco10, what daily build were you using when facebook.login was working?  Corona updated FB SDK and things have changed some where around daily build 1040.  (I don’t remember exactly which build it was…)

Anyhow, you might want to look at this guide and update the build.settings (along with general review of your code & how you’ve set up your FB app at FB dev portal):

For Android, I’ve had to add all the permissions that used to be default - 

  • INTERNET
  • READ_PHONE_STATE
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE

I don’t know why you need read_phone_state, so try it without it, but for me it wouldn’t even open the FB pop-up without the permission.

@Naomi , thank you very much for your answer. I eventually fixed, my problem was I didn’t write well the new attribute FacebookAppId, , it should be FacebookAppID, the las D has to be uppercase too. You always have a good answer for everything, you are great @Naomi

Just a quick fyi, I tried build my app with a new version of Corona, removed READ_PHONE_STATE, and it works just fine lol. I guess it was just a fluke. Yay!
