address book plugin

I’ve been trying to grab the mobile number from the address book using the same format as homeEmail and workPhone etc., by calling mobilePhone, but I’m not having any luck. Anyone have any suggestions?

When I run the sample for the plugin List screen returns mobile phones as :

phoneMobile: (555) 555-5555

So perhaps try phoneMobile. Hope this helps.

Yup. Brain freeze. Thanks!

Super!

Hey guys.

I understand the documentation would probably be more useful if it listed all possible key/value pairs for each specific address book action.

I will address this lack of information as soon as I possibly can.

Thanks!

An update to the address book plugin should be out in a couple of hours. (it will happen automatically for you)

The documentation will also be updated within the aforementioned timeframe. The documentation now lists all the possible table keys it both returns and accepts, which should take the guessing games out of using it.

We have also added the ability to retrieve the contacts photo from the address book. Which should fulfil your address book needs

Thanks for your patience!

Danny, this is wonderful news!!! Thank you very much for the update. Has the sample app been updated as well in order to best demonstrate the improvements?

Thanks Danny! Where can I find the documentation which contains this new information?

edit-  Never mind, I found it

The best thing about this update is that it requires no code changes at your end. It is all just an extension of the functionality that is already provided. You just need to reference the documentation to see the extra table keys it both supports and returns. (See my reply below regarding the documentation)

It seems the documentation *didn’t* get updated. I am investigating why that happened. I will respond to this thread when I find out what happened.

Here is the updated documentation:

Thanks much for the update. The landing page you linked above doesn’t seem much changed so for clarity’s sake, the new info is all in

This is looking great! Thanks much.
