Admob Ban?

No I have not been banned from admob but I have a question. I’ve read about people who click on their own ads or raise their impressions by using their own app over and over having their admob account banned. My question is this I have downloaded my own app from the Playstore and it has ads in it. Will I be banned for using my app normally? Or should I just avoid that road completely and port the app to my phone from my computer without that ad code in it…?

Does anyone else use their own app that has ads in it?

Does using your app (as you say) normally include clicking the ads?  If so, I wouldn’t do that.

Tongue In Cheek Answer:  While you may find the ad content almost impossible to not click and buy, I’d still be careful.

Serious answer: Is is easy not to click your ads, but impossible to get your Google Account (not just admob will be cancelled, but your entire development account) reinstated.

  • Always test with your ads in DEBUG mode.
  • When installing the finished app on your device ONLY install it from the store or make a build without ads enabled and side load it.  In either case, avoid clicking your ads and you’re golden.

No I wouldn’t click any of the ads at all but it seems to high of a risk to just use my own app with the ads code in it. Thanks I will remove the ads from my version.

Ya don’t click your own ads. I had a client that kept clicking his own ads ( Made over 100$ from it ) and got banned for a month with no way of getting the account back except for wait out that month. As of now he still plays the game and everything just he tries avoiding the ads. If you click on or two a day “Accidentally” no one will care.

NOTE – If you get banned then anyone who has your game or app will not see the ads anymore until your account goes back online again. –
