Stay away from AdWhirl [import]uid: 9190 topic_id: 7665 reply_id: 38928[/import]
You’re right Carlos. An ad aggregator is the best way to go. An ad aggregator like Adwhirl seems like the best option. I’m in as long as it doesn’t slow down the game play.
It’s too bad that support for this in Corona is stuck in the legal mumbo jumbo of it all. I have faith that you guys will get through these problems sometime in the near future and provide us with these tools we need. [import]uid: 38820 topic_id: 7665 reply_id: 39536[/import]
My iAd revenue for one of my old non-Corona iPad games has jumped dramatically over the past 10 days. Any update on an ETA for iAds in Corona?

I don’t see the point of adding another ad features since corona already has ad features. I say leave the iAd in the dust and focus on developing other features instead of wasting developer’s energy. [import]uid: 151184 topic_id: 7665 reply_id: 108084[/import]
@aftra you have no idea what you’re talking about. Try monetizing your app with immobi or inner active and see how well you do. These are 2nd tier ad networks ansca is supporting ahead of providing its developers with the best monetization options, which are admob and iAd. The admob sdk even uses iAd now on iOS.
This needs to get done, it’s been 12 months now and we still have no legit monetization options when it comes to ads in corona. [import]uid: 36054 topic_id: 7665 reply_id: 108095[/import]
@Puzzle Runner
This is one of the major reasons why I’m not renewing my subscription and I’m now using Gideros Mobile instead. Also Inneractive wasn’t working correctly for the longest time and right now my games are using InMobi which can’t handle the ad requests. I’m getting around 4% fill rate!!! @glenn I would recommend the AdMediator from Deniz. It’s a short-term solution that lets you do AdMob banners and has allowed me to at least make the wait tolerable. (Huge props to him by the way, but there’s only so much he can do when he’s limited to web api instead of the native SDKs).
I love Corona and wouldn’t think of leaving it, which means my only option is to raise hell until they get it done lol. [import]uid: 36054 topic_id: 7665 reply_id: 108144[/import]
I really don’t see the point of supporting iAd. Instead of worrying about ads? Corona developers should more concerned with higher quality so people will buy their apps regardless. Corona should not support any ads at all. Especially iAd. [import]uid: 151184 topic_id: 7665 reply_id: 108153[/import]
I just don’t understand the mindset of developers who want ads on their apps. So you work your ass off and put bloody sweaty soul into it, then you are going to ruin it with displaying UGLY ads? Really? Instead of have more interest in ads, shouldn’t you all be focusing on how to make your apps better? Especially corona apps most likely are all games? I get so put off by the games that displays the ads. [import]uid: 151184 topic_id: 7665 reply_id: 108154[/import]
@aftra18 Kuddos on resurrecting an almost year-old thread to spew thoughtless drivel. [import]uid: 13529 topic_id: 7665 reply_id: 108155[/import]
I believe you mean kudos on resurrecting quite a few ancient threads to spew thoughtless drivel.
But since it is resurrected +1 on additional ad support. If people don’t want ads they can pay for the ad-free version [import]uid: 147305 topic_id: 7665 reply_id: 108156[/import]
@aftra It sounds like you should be playing games, not making them. Ads are essential to making money, especially on Android where users don’t pay for much. There’s a reason why most games have a “free version” and a “paid version”. We have to make money somehow, it’s a business. [import]uid: 36054 topic_id: 7665 reply_id: 108157[/import]
