AdMob Latest SDK Version?

I recall AdMob emailing developers some time ago to advise developers that ads would be switched off for those apps using an outdated SDK. Can’t recall the dates - sorry.

Likely this will happen again in the future. So, my question is, what version of the AdMob SDK does the latest version of the paid AdMob plugin use? 

Out of interest, what version of the AdMob SDK does the previous V2 version of the AdMob plugin use?

The new Admob plugin uses the following versions:

Android: com.google.android.gms:play-services-ads:9.6.1

iOS: Google Mobile Ads SDK 7.16.0
