Admob support for Android

Currently there is no known way to get admob working for Android. Would it be possible to either:

  1. get the Webpop-up functionality working the same as on iOS so that this can work.
  2. get native support for admob built-in

Are you u sure? I was playing around with this the other day.

What doesn’t work for you? You use a web popup as per normal [import]uid: 8872 topic_id: 7589 reply_id: 26935[/import]

No one in the forums has been able to get it to work. There are about a dozen threads that all end in it not working when the user clicks.

Could you post some sample code? Both the lua and html? I’ve been able to get the ads to display, but clicking on them doesn’t open them in a new window. [import]uid: 4899 topic_id: 7589 reply_id: 26936[/import]

Ahh ok, i dont remember if I did try clicking on android. I was testing on android and iOS at the same time.

Nope just checked it on HTC desire running 2.2, crashes the app when you press on the ad. This is bad because you are breaking admob terms and conditions by having an ad not running properly.

Seems to be working with 243 and 317. But the js that admob uses doesn’t fire the event for alot of ads.
