Admob vs inneractive vs revmob

Ok

About to update an app I have out there in two stores and has about 10000 downloads.

It is making like 1.00 every few days with inner.

Anyone having any luck using advertising?

Is implementing google ads the best approach via the we view? [import]uid: 18783 topic_id: 33879 reply_id: 333879[/import]

Sigh… it’s a joke that Corona doesnt give us any monetizing options we want.

Mattchapman, the best kind of ads is a ad mediator like Mobclix or Mopub even Admob has the ability to serve different ads. Chartboost and Playhaven are also great. But sadly you are not able to use any of them. [import]uid: 1884 topic_id: 33879 reply_id: 134738[/import]

The best is RevMob and nothing else (at least regarding Corona`s monetizations way).

PS : Inneractive is the worst company ever IMHO (it`s like a fake) and am sure for so many other developers.

I can also vouch for RevMob.
I have implemented RevMob in Corona and Xcode projects with success since August. RevMob works in the Google Play, Amazon and Apple stores, and bring in consistently an average $7 eCPM’s across my apps, which is way higher than Mobclix or Admob that I also continue to use.

I’ve never tried Inneractive, so I can’t comment on them. Another option would be to use LunarAds, but I’m not convinced that they would be any better than RevMob. [import]uid: 70847 topic_id: 33879 reply_id: 134776[/import]

So in RevMob for some reason when I put in my code for the bottom of the screen it seems to show the same 2 ads over and over… and full screen just shows a single ad that is asking the user to go here type thing…

Am I missing something?

Also what is the best method people have found… showing ad between screen changes (or right after so it doesn’t get stuck)… or just putting something at the bottom…top, or having a timer that pops up the full screen after x amount of time (not for game I would think).

Just started looking at options for ads. Any opinions on tapit ? [import]uid: 112538 topic_id: 33879 reply_id: 135334[/import]

I developed Yumby Toss on Corona, and my other game, Yumby Smash, on Unity.

I love Corona, but I’m frustrated at the lack of viable ad networks. How are we going to make money without any of the top ad networks available to us? Inneractive performs terribly, and InMobi isn’t any better.

On Yumby Smash, I’ve integrated HeyZap, Vungle, RevMob and Chartboost. Here’s what I’m seeing:

RevMob is getting between $1.20 - $1.40 eCPMs.

ChartBoost is delivering eCPMs in the $2.50 range.

Vungle is delivering eCPMs in the $18 range.

HeyZap is delivering eCPMs in the $2.75 - $3.50 range.

NOTE: My Android app has had over 600,000 downloads and should hit a million by the end of the month, if all goes well, so the data sampling is pretty large.

Let’s all vote for the folks at Corona to include HeyZap, Chartboost and Vungle. This will make a HUGE difference in monetizing our Corona apps.

Should have done this a long time ago… going to Unity. [import]uid: 1884 topic_id: 33879 reply_id: 144906[/import]

Here’s an interesting thread relevant to what we all want:

Hopefully Corona will put a big effort in enabling non-enterprise users like us to use Chartboost, Vungle, Heyzap, PlayHaven, Tapfortap, etc. sooner than later.

BTW, @vopmms, you don’t need to go to Unity to do this. Unless you are already very well versed in using Unity, I think you’d be better off upgrading to Enterprise (in terms of cost and learning curve.) See these posts:

That’s true… Corona gives us few options for ads. [import]uid: 162818 topic_id: 33879 reply_id: 144913[/import]

Naomi, does “Hopefully Corona will put a big effort in enabling non-enterprise users like us to use Chartboost, Vungle, Heyzap, PlayHaven, Tapfortap, etc. sooner than later” go for Indie Developers too? [import]uid: 162818 topic_id: 33879 reply_id: 144914[/import]

@WilerJr, yes, I’m hoping Corona would put that big effort and make these things available to both Indie & Pro Developers.

AdMob stated they weren’t going to allow ads from outside their SDK. Not sure how AdMediator is getting them or if AdMob have implemented that yet. But either it’s coming or it’s outside their TOS. ? [import]uid: 204816 topic_id: 33879 reply_id: 144922[/import]

Am I the only one that thinks its totally ridiculous that we have to upgrade to enterprise to get common ads services like Chartboost, Playhaven, etc? I refuse to do that!

Whats next VIP edition for in app purchases? [import]uid: 1884 topic_id: 33879 reply_id: 144923[/import]

Hey, @vopmms, I do wish these ads services are already available for Pro & Indie users. I only mentioned Enterprise because you sounded like you’d consider moving on to Unity because the more favorable ad providers are missing. From what I understand, Unity is a lot more expensive than Enterprise (definitely for single user anyway) – and unless you are already familiar with Unity, the transition to Unity may not be so smooth…
