AdNetworks directly from Corona !

Really…

why Coronalabs dont like to earn some extra money.

just implement all great AdNetworks and let us implement them by a simple line

AND the option to change them online via a console.

I dont need to get paid by each of them directly, coronalabs can take 5% or so and just send me the

final sum.

It would save lots of installing new AdNetwork, testing etc, while there are always new networks …

and i could focus on the importend, to improve the app.

Corona would register with all the new players, implement them in a dashboard where we can choose from

and no need for us to register with each of them extra and implement their sdk.

is that a +1  ???

Interesting concept - and would solve and eliminate a lot of Developer (you) time , However Corona’s business model is to provide a tool that makes making apps easy i.e. allows Devs to use lua to make cross platform apps .

Your suggestion IMHO is a “swerve away” from their core business & a shift into the advertising business.

But again an interesting concept.

“Apple’s” Business Model was to provide the best Computers.

Than the “swerved away” and brought the iPhone

and especially the APPStore (what was definitly not their Core Business),

We all know what skyrocking success followed. ONE HAND SERVES ALL.

It’s an interesting idea, however I don’t think that CoronaLabs should venture into the crazy world of ad mediators.

It will take *a lot* of manpower to deal with the whole thing.

What you describe sounds a lot like what Mobclix did. Mobclix was good as long as they were in business, however they went bankrupt shortly after being acquired by Velti.

I think that a better approach would be to develop plugins for the existing mediators out there.

There are quite a few, and I think MoPub (http://www.mopub.com) would be an interesting option.

Chris - as i said an interesting idea - but as Ingemar stated would require a lot of manpower and admin/tax/financials work etc…

Secondly and I’m not saying i’m right here but the app store could be looked at as a great marketing tool for apple to maintain market dominance of the Hardware business i.e. providing computers be they desktop or mobile. By encouraging devs to make apps for their products, we, as devs, become defacto employees pushing toward the sale of their product, the consumer builds up a personal library of apps they paid for thus increasing the "perceived value’ of the hardware and effectivey locking in , or producing a investment hurdle that the consumer must decide to overcome if they wish to change products (they can’t take their iOs apps over to their new android phone can they).

On that same note your suggestion has interesting merit in that were it added it may prove to be an attractive feature - a one stop shop - but don’t get upset if Corona decides they don’t wish to take their business in that direction.
