Ads and Inneractive

I’ve been using inneractive for about 5 months, and my total earnings = 9 cents  … I believe I’m officially done with them. Let alone their ads slow my games down a loooot. I think it’s better off going ad-free leaving a few features out of the free version and just have a direct link to to pro version ( for the unforgiving Android market ). Maybe u can try Admob
It’s much better than inneractive actually. [import]uid: 25057 topic_id: 30855 reply_id: 123405[/import]

Only another $199.01 until you can cash out… should be sometime around year 2937.

I have just moved away from inneractive after earning 16c in a week, going to try revmob. [import]uid: 62706 topic_id: 30855 reply_id: 123411[/import]

I skipped interactive just because of all the negative feedback i’ve seen on these forums… and no one with positive counter feedback. Instead of abandoning the ad based revenue model I would try some other options available such as Revmob, LunarAds or Tapit(which is new). [import]uid: 147305 topic_id: 30855 reply_id: 123419[/import]

Same here… only a few pennies per month.
Next game will not use them… also thinking about changing ad providers for my currently released game as well. [import]uid: 114363 topic_id: 30855 reply_id: 123447[/import]

Feel stupid for not researching ad networks before publishing my app, I just used the default one Corona offers… Noobie mistakes are going to get made however, it’s all a big learning process

That said, my update has just been published that remove’s inneractive and adds revmob, that looks a lot more promising.

I haven’t looked into revmob yet. I just chose inneractive in the beginning for how easy it was to implement since I was new and getting the popular adMob to work for Android was a hack and a half. [import]uid: 114389 topic_id: 30855 reply_id: 123467[/import]

Thanks for posting your experiences.

I decided to try adding ads to my next app at the last minute and saw the Tapit post.

Time will tell if I get any downloads and if Tapit generates any revenue.

I will say that integrating Tapit with the simplified tapit.lua module was quite straight forward and very flexible.

Since I haven’t explored using any of the other ad services, I’m not sure how they work, but I can’t see getting much more flexible than Tapit.

Each ad location/placement in your app can get it’s own “zoneId” number when you set up your app on the Tapit website. This allows the developer to reference and track each specific ad location for requests, impressions and clicks. Their dashboard shows these along with fill rates, eCPM and earnings for each zoneId.

I’ve setup 3 differenct zoneIDs for each ad placement so I can tell what devices I am getting clicks from and where the ad is located for, iPhone, iPad and iPad3.

I’m using a banner ad at the top of the main screen and then a different banner at the bottom of the game screen.

When a turn is completed, I rotate between displaying a popup ad and a native alert style popup that offers a free game of the day download. I really like the native alert style popup, I probably should have skipped the interstitial popup ad.

Tapit can be integrated with adMediator if desired or as a stand alone module.

I realize this doesn’t have anything to do with inneractive, but thought I’d share a little about what I learned integrating Tapit which is an option. I’ll let you know how it works if I get anyone to download and play my next game.

Im impressed about how much long you guys will still need to realize that Inneractive is a garbage... Im telling this around here for more than 4 months already. Yawn…

PS: It does not matter if your app has exposition, downloads, sessions, etc or not. The matter here is that Inneractive simply does not work, nothing else IMVHO!

PS2: I`m sure “one day” someone from somewhere will finally realize that and also notice that this “partnerships” burn up Corona SDK.

PS3: CoronaSDK is one of the best SDKs out there (besides it amazing Team and sure the Developers) and so it would fit better to see Corona Labs making better partnerships and not having these partners bring it down. (search for the word ‘Inneractive’ around the forums and you will see what am speaking about at all).

So can u share us your experience while u’r using tapit.

How must does it pay for all kinds of ads

Banner ads
Full screen interstitial ads (wall ads)
Alert ads

I wanna know is it better than admob or not.
appreciate. [import]uid: 25057 topic_id: 30855 reply_id: 123498[/import]

@Owen,

I’m not exactly sure what the returns are, but here is an estimate from what I see.

Banner ads
1/3 screen interstitial ads (wall ads) –
Full screen interstitial ads (wall ads) --don’t have any, it wasn’t configured in deniz’s simplified tapit.lua
Alert ads

It looks like about 0.01/50+ impressions
It looks like about 0.05/click on banners and maybe 0.07/click on alert and 0.06 /interstiial click

I really have NO idea what others are returning. I literally just got the ads integrated and submitted my app. What do the other add services return?

During the little testing I did, it looks like I got around 95% fill on banners, 100% on alert and 62% on interstitial 1/3 screen or whatever size it is.

Hope this helps,

forgot, yes I believe that is the Tapit github I used. It looks like deniza has done some modifications to it since I worked with it. I’ll have to get it and see what changed.

It looks like the add placement x,y has been added as a param to the add request which makes calling and placing the add very easy.

Deniza has the ad requests set up quite nicely, you can also specify the ads “zoneId” as a param of the ad request.

I do have one issue I haven’t solved though, it is metioned at adMediator post also. There are some banner ads that Tapit is serving that are launching in Safari when they load without being clicked. I don’t know what to do about this and there was no solution posted. I’m hoping it gets resolved.

Nail LOL…how many typos can I make in a tiny post…it’s late
