I’m submitting an app that was commissioned by a client (a friend). I have yet to finalize our app development contract, and was wondering how I should approach the aspect of app ownership. There is a form for “Copyright” during Apple’s submission process, and I wasn’t sure who should be listed: myself or the company I’m creating the app for.
Any suggestions? Does anyone have any sample contracts they’d be willing to share? I know I should consult my attorney first, but you guys are more familiar with the software/apps so I thought I’d check with you.
Details:
It’s a free app, I will be submitting/publishing it under my company, and updates/user support will be maintained by me. The name of the app and the content is completely related to my client’s company.
