All of a sudden I can't load my apps to my Ipads: application does not have a valid signature. Been working for months

Good Morning,

My developement process has been brought to a screaching halt and as Murphy would have it I am done with the coding phase and about to go into the testing phase of my game.

I created a new provisioning file for my Ipad 2 and successfully loaded my game on to that.  Then I went to put a refreshed version on Ipad 3 and now I can’t load anything.

I’ve created all new provisioning files.  I’ve upgraded the os and Xcode and still no luck.

No on top of everything else my Ipad no longer shows up in the Xcode organizer.

Is anyone else running into this?

Thanks,

Arthur

You need to open xcode and open devices instead of organizer now.

You will also need to make sure that you have a “developement profile” now instead of adhoc.

Refreshing your accounts in xcode is not enough to get the dev profile working anymore you will actually need to download the profile from your developer account.

Hi Chris,

I’ve never used adhoc I’ve always used development.  I’ve redownloaded my development provisioning file several times and installed it on my device in the devices category.  I deleted all of the old provisioning files on my iPad and reinstalled the new one and I still get the error message that my application does not have a valid signature.

This new devices scheme no longer shows the access to the iPad console like the old one did.  Do you know how to access the console from this new scheme?  It is not under show all logs.

Thanks,

Arthur

I believe it is on the lower left and you just need to expand it, not at my mac at the moment though.

Hi Chris,

I found it where you said it was.  It was an arrow I had to expand.

I still can get my apps to load though.

I tried downloading the latest daily build to see if that made a difference.  It did not.

Do you know if this issue is a corona issue or an apple issue?

Thanks,

Arthur

it is an apple issue, lots of people are having the same issue and no one “to my knowledge” has quite figured out what it is yet, I had the same problem on two different macs.

The first one which is just a machine for pushing to itunes with corona I just nuked the machine and reinstalled osx and xcode and everything started working perfectly. (don’t recommend this option unless you don’t really use the machine)

On my actual dev machine I went a different route as I have had similar problems with certs and xcode releases so I deleted my primary certs and profiles then opened up xcode and logged in and had xcode go through and recreate all the certs on my behalf and fixed the issue.

But not a corona issue but an apple xcode issue.

You should also check your keychain. Look for an app named “Keychain Access”. It’s usually under Applications/Utilities.

When you start the Keychain app look at “My certificates”. Sometimes Xcode will add a new certificate but not delete the old one. You end up with duplicates, that have a different expiration date.

Hi Elbow,

Thanks for that.  I tried that but same story.

Arthur

Success!!!

I apologize I honestly can’t say what I did to fix it. I regenerated and redownloaded my provisioning file, but I made so many changes I’m not positive what fixed it.

Thanks for everyone’s input!!!
