Amazon App Rejected

I got this message from Amazon this morning:

Your app has failed a test case.

Bug Description: Functionality fail
Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Launch the application.
  2. Voice call from alternative device during game play
  3. Observe error.

OS/Device(s)/Form Factor: 2.2 /HTC EVO 4G /Phone + Tablet

Please correct the issue(s) we found with your app submission.

When the user receives a phone call the app exits. When my game exits it saves data, so they user doesn’t lose anything. How can I fix this? [import]uid: 46082 topic_id: 34551 reply_id: 334551[/import]

Are you getting an error? Or is it just exiting? [import]uid: 199310 topic_id: 34551 reply_id: 137441[/import]

No everything is actually working just as I want it to. I even tested this problem with my own Android phones. First, I don’t understand why they are testing a non-Amazon device like the Evo. Second, I tested this and there is no problem. I actually sent them an inquiry as to why I got rejected and they responded with “Ooops, well if its working how you intended then re-submit and we will continue with review.” It wasn’t that stupid sounding, but that’s the jist of it. I guess it’s sort of resolved. I’ll post back if it goes through. [import]uid: 46082 topic_id: 34551 reply_id: 137446[/import]

Amazon has two app stores: One for generic Android devices and one for apps for the Kindle Fire. You have to get through the generic App store approval process before you’re even considered for the Kindle Fire.

Sometimes Amazon will boot an app and when you challenge them, they will pass it the next time.
